auberus had an idea for a fic challenge which I said I would help with :-).
The idea is to dig out any abandoned stories sitting on your hard drive, whether they are currently 500 words or 50000. Stories that you like but just haven't been able to complete.
Then they can get picked up by someone else who will finish them off, as close to the original style as they can manage but choosing their own direction and plot. You can supply a synopsis of what you originally planned if you like, but whether to adopt that would be up to the new author.
The idea is to make it a multifandom, crossover free for all. If we get enough positive interest we'll go ahead and make a comm so let us know if you are interested whether it be in donating your unfinished fic, picking up someone elses or even better both.
Also if you can pass on the word to your flists too that would be great. Reply here or at the original post here.

femaleshinigami has set up a new community for gundam wing fan artistsgundam_art. She wanted people to promote it with a note in their LJ, so here I am promoting. I've never noticed before but there really aren't any (active) communities dedicated to gundam fan art, thats' weird. So anyone who does any sort of gundam wing art, (whether it be drawing, graphics, doddles, icons or any other medium) should join and post. So then I can look at all the shiny, pretty things[Unknown site tag], and be consumed with jealousy over all the talent everyone else has. I can draw stick men, on a very good day I can crop a screen captured image and add text, that no one can read (or add black lines which sort of look like cracks). *Points to her icons* See. *Grins* learning how to use photoshop properly is on my mental to do list.
