More Doctor

 :0) another episode of the Doctor and I just love this show more and more. I won't say much more because I wouldn't want to spoil anything for anyone but I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series. Oh and also just as an aside I already loved them for their casting of Canton (because he's as brilliant here as he is as Jim Sterling) but I love you even more Dr Who for the way you take things that some other shows ignore or sidestep and just occasionally poke them with a sharp stick.

:) I agree he was great as Canton. I have to say I spotted the marriage thing straight off in the first ep ;)

Must admit, in hindsight I had to wonder how it hadn't occured to me, I was to busy speculating about little girls and Amy's maybe pregnancy.

Though I must admit I would never in a million years have even thought of "Nixon's" assumption, the idea that someone might be fired from a government run job for being in an inter-racial relationship seems totally alien to me. I don't know whether it is frightening or encoraging that it was so recent... after all how much better might things be in another 40 years?

Yeah, the black thing threw me entirely for a moment. But then it was never as big a thing here as there, so I don't have the Lingering historical/cultural legacy lurking at the back of my brain. Neatly handled though.
