It does rather depend on who says it. If it's my boss then I'm like you, if it is one of the students (which is more common)then I prepare to be exasperated.
mine is probably more like, 'why, what do you want?' but yeah, it would definitely depend on who says it... :p if it were my boss i'd probably just nod and then try to slip out of work without them noticing! XDD

Avoiding your boss is a great way to buy time, I do it all the time, it doesn't change the end result much though.
