How about My Neighbor Totoro? Its sweet and a bit nostalgic, perhaps a little slow but overall very pretty and calm - it depends on the type of thing your Mum likes.
My favorite Ghibli is still Spirited Away but my Mum wasn’t too keen on the barfing scene ^_^
