I want to know.

You know those emails you get sent with attachments or links you just know are dodgy? Maybe they're from someone you have never met and promise large amounts of money or from someone you haven't spoken to in years with an email (probably from an old address) which just says 'look at this' without any sort of hello, how are you, did you ever sort out that problem with x.

Does anyone else get the urge to click on it/ download just to see what it will do? It's like Pandora's box, you know opening it is a really bad idea but you want to know. Is this going to destroy my hard drive or try to scam my bank details or just pass my email address on to a thousand market research companies? This might be why curiosity is so fatal to cats.

Not since I opened one in ignorance and had a complete melt down. Had to wipe and reload everything. Lost a few bits and pieces but it was such a pain. Never again. Don't do it!!

Ouch, don't worry I won't actually open it, but the temptation is there. Like a big red button labelled 'don't push'.

I know you wouldn't but it never hurts to re-inforce something like that. I didn't know better and it looked like it was from my only remaining cousin. She was not really happy when she found out either.
