Still alive.... I think

I'm moving in a week, my life is boxes..... and tape, packed up another seven boxes so far today. Urgh I'll be happy when I'm all in and sorted.

It's official I watch too much anime, I was watching Wimbledon today and Federer hit a round the pole shot (I don't think I've ever  seen one in the real world before) and all I wanted to do was shout 'Boomerang Snake' at the TV. It's not like the shot really resembled the boomerang snake anyway, I'm just an obsessed fangirl.

My latest highlander fic is soo nearly done (of course it has been nearly done for a good week) it's just missing something, I feel like it needs another paragraph (or even two) just to make it work but I've run out of ideas ... Then this completely different fic bunny decided to come join the party so I may end up writing that first (which is very stupid of me).

Must write Zero X even if it is basically a long technobabble chapter. I can do technobabble especially as it's biochemical technobabble (that's my job after all). Wow though when you get Heero and Henry McCoy in the same room talking about science they won't shut up ^_^.

They're busy being science geeks... I'm trying to rein them back enough to make them comprehensible to everyone else. -Plus I don't want to be writing another thesis here.

Kind of random, but...wimbledon rocks. My family loves to watch it, but I think I watch it mainly for Federer. He's a hot man, all sweaty, grunting and hitting balls (oh ok, that came out kinda wrong. I'll clarify: tennis balls). But man has he got skills. It's like how I watch golf just for Tiger Woods.

I like to play tennis myself. I hit the courts when I can. But I tried golf once and never set foot on a golf course again.

Like I said. Kinda random.

Federer's great he always seems to have real class, poise and elegance to his shots (and yes he's nice eyecandy too). It does freak me out when they call him old and near retirement though (he's a year younger than me).

HAHAHAHA. I think the same thing whenever I watch tennis. It's horrible, ain't it? Anime has wormed its way into our brains.

That's awesome on your fic progress! Seriously, I don't know how to thank you for introducing me to ficfinishing. It's a godsend, really. And whoa, Heero and McCoy? Sounds intriguing. ;)

anime ate my brains, it does make things fun. Boomerang snake is the only one I'd recognise in RL though I think (it turns out the ball doesn't really catch fire when someone hits a really fast heavy shot).

Glad you're enjoying ficfinishing, do you think you're going to finish you epic novel by your deadline?

I really, really want to. I'm at 32k of 50-60k (goal). And I've got another fic obligation to write for, too, so I'd been hoping to finish this juggernaut by Thursday. Now...it's looking iffy. :S

good luck you can do it, I think I wrote at about that speed when I was coming up on my thesis deadline. It's amazing what a bit of panic can do for you.
