A question for the highlander fans on my flist.

I'm fic writing again (or perhaps more accurately still) and just trying to work out some details.

I know Methos has and Duncan hasn't (ignoring the contradiction that is endgame) but is there any canon references to whether Amanda has ever been married? (Whether for real or as part of a con)

In The Raven, there is an episode where she was actually married; the punch line, naturally, was during the climatic sword fight (no, not THAT kind of climax) when she says, "I want a divorce," and whacks off his head.

I suppose it depends on whether or not you regard H:TR as canonical.

Apart from the 'alternate' Amanda in To Be/Not to Be I can't think of it being mentioned off the top of my head. That doesn't mean it hasn't been, just that my memory is swiss-cheesed.

considering her age and her time in history, I'd be very suprised if she hadn't been married. That would have been anomolous! and it might have been safer for her in certain time periods too.

There's nothing in canon other than the final A/U ep, so you have free reign :)

;-) That's my problem too, I don't think it's ever been mentioned but I don't know.

At the very least she'll have pretended to be married.

Oh goody, hmm now I have to make a decision.... I'll see what happens as I write it.

Actually, she was canonically married in Highlander: the Raven. I guess it's up to you whether you want to count that as part of canon. ETA: The episode is Love and Death. (http://www.tv.com/Highlander%3A+The+Raven/Love+and+Death/episode/73581/summary.html?tag=container;episode_guide_list)

Oooo thank you, think I'll have to watch the episode again. Unlike the original series I've only watched 'The Raven' through once.
