I was having a look round for Sally based fan fiction for a little extra insight when I was doing this series and there are so few fics out there where her character is really developed.

I did see this essay on her someone had written about the lack of Sally based fiction and they pointed out that she was the most normal and well balanced character which doesn't really give an obvious angle for a writer to work on and so she tends to get overlooked.

I suppose in a way that's true but you know I think I can admire her for that (if one can admire fictional characters) I mean she isn't fabulously wealthy, super strong, or a trained elite, but she's tough and smart and follows her principles even when the world's going nuts. She's also willing to chase down the details and clear up the mess left behind, when it doesn't seem to occur to anyone else.
