What I find most interesting here is that the couples you mention (all in fandoms I'm part of? wtf's up with that?! soul-mates much?) those are the couples that I watch the show for!

I write 3x4. Not that I don't enjoy a good 1x2 or any other equation (I've been known to like a good 1x3, too, with the knowledge that T hasn't met Q yet... WHAT! It's what I like! Lemme'lone)

I also wrote golden pair fic, and I love to read silver pair fic (Have you ever read "learning to land?" epic AWESOME, by the way).

I also, don't write for Bleach, eventhough I highly enjoy the series, but if I had to pick, I would say Renji and Rukia with the whole childhood friends thing, but it's less stable, so therefore I don't write it. And also, writing het is just...less interesting to me, eventhough I'm a heterosexual myself. I don't know, it's just what I like *shrug*

Another series I like is supernatural, where the brothers are such a perfect couple, as well, and I would totally attempt to write for that.

I happen to be a huge fan of Doctor Who, but I have never, ever even THOUGHT of writing fic for it. Why? Because there's no one there that seems RIGHT for the fic. No one. I love the show but I'd never consider to write for it.

The pairs that you point out here really struck me, because they ARE cannon couples in the broadest of senses. None are actual couples in the series (ex: Jack and Ianto in Torchwood. Are a couple. I don't write them.) but they have moments of extreme 'togetherness' that seem to separate them from the rest of the cast. And that is what fascinates me so, I think.

Thoughts?
